Birth Doula

As your birth doula, I am on call and available 24/7 from 36 weeks until birth.

I offer guidance and resources to support a sense of feeling informed and empowered. It is my hope that your pregnancy is a time that you feel healthy, nourished, and held.

I offer two to three prenatal visits. During these visits we will get to know one another, can cover childbirth education, physiologic norms and work together to create a flexible birth plan to help you relax into your labor process. We will also discuss things like when-to-call your team and birth-site specifics, like preparedness for either hospital or out-of-hospital birth. I am available for any questions you have throughout our course of care.

During labor, I am fully present with you to provide emotional and physical support until the immediate postpartum. It is of utmost importance to me that you feel respected and informed throughout your process. I value shared decision making and can support your family during the sometimes winding road of labor. I have many positioning tools to support the biomechanics of baby’s journey through the pelvis.

Following prenatal, labor and birth support, I offer postpartum support. These visits are a way to have continued care as you arrive back into your life with your new baby. This care can include birth integration, body work and ritual, breast/feeding support, education and resources, physiologic newborn care, and all the household tasks to help you stay in bed, resting and soaking up this sacred window.

Postpartum Doula

As your postpartum doula, I offer my care in whatever ways you and your family may need so that you can relax into rest and healing in your body and with your baby.

Depending on your and your family's needs, this may consist of light housework, meal prep, holding your baby so you can wash or rest, supporting you with breastfeeding/feeding, gentle, warming massage, or nourishing conversation. I can also be available to run errands or support any older children you may have in the home.

The postpartum period is a most delicate time and one that truly takes the support of a village.
